The world ball well in Berlin - also affectionately Wasserklops mentioned - was built 1983 in the context of a reorganization of the broad separating place. Its architects Ivan Krusnik and Oskar Reith arranged him as ball from red granite, which possesses a diameter of 8,5 m and in 16 m a large basin is. On it are numerous jumping wells, and other Wasserspiele. In addition it is provided with bronze figures of Joachim Schmettau.

The enterprise of the well for five months in the year costs the district Charlottenburg Wilmersdorf approximately 75,000 euro. Since the district is not in the position to bear these cost the well is dependent on the assistance of sponsors. Thus the working group town center financed the well, in the year 2004 donated the operator of the adjacent European center 45,000 euro from 1996 to 2001.
