The Niederhaus is a castle, which stands in Passau on the point of the rocky promontory at the confluence of Ilz and Danube.

The first land development on the promontory becomes estimated on the year 737. It concerned a temporary dwelling, the duke Odilo of Bavaria, which bishop Vivlio with the fled monastery women had assigned.
