The Sweden route is a holidays road in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg with culture-historical topic. It covers routistic objects of interest, which Swedish-German history during the time of 1630 to 1815 on approximately 700 kilometers, which document so-called Sweden time in Northern Germany. The Sweden route consists of a coastal route, a west route and an east route. It resulted to the countries Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as well as the cities grab forest, Stralsund, Wismar and Wittstock/Dosse in the year 2000 from a co-operation contract between Sweden. The appropriate activities are coordinated by a working group, which representatives of the Swedish message in Berlin, the Ministry for education, science and culture of the country Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the Ministry for research, science and culture of the country Brandenburg, which seriousness Moritz Arndt university grab forest, the Pommer federal state museum in grab forest, the museum of the war in Wittstock/Dosse, the Swedish institute in Stockholm as well as the cities mentioned to belong.

In close proximity to Peenemuende on the island Usedom, only few kilometers far away from Wolgast, began the Sweden time in Northern Germany with the landing of a large Swedish army on 6 July 1630.
The west route has its starting point likewise in Gadebusch. It continues to lead then after Wismar and from there toward southeast after Wittstock to the Dosse, scene 1636 of a battle successfully running for Sweden during the war. From Wittstock the route continues to run after Fehrbellin. Here 1675 the arguments decided between Sweden and Brandenburg to the disadvantage of Sweden. Toward southeast is further further large berries in the southwest of Berlin part of the west route. Here it came 1813 to a battle between the Swedish troops and the napoleonischen army, their exit in favor of of Sweden the way freed to the people battle with Leipzig in the same year.
The beginning of the east route lies in Sassnitz on the island Here is the property Spyker with a lock of the Swedish field marshal and statesman Carl Gustav Wrangel. Across the island the route leads after Stralsund and grab forest and from there after Prenzlau in the former Mark Brandenburg, part of the today's Land of the Federal Republic Brandenburg. Prenzlau was occupied several times due to its strategic meaning Sweden. From Prenzlau the route continues to run after large berries.
