The residence Ellingen is a lock in Ellingen. From 1216 to 1789 Ellingen was residence of the Landkomturs of the Ballei Franconias of the German medal.
Several medieval buildings as well as a renaissance building work preceded the today's lock plant, which was built from 1708 to approximately 1760.
