The Planetarium at the Insulaner in Berlin is a Grossplanetarium with scarcely 300 seats and because of its Zeiss projector also Zeiss Planetarium at the Insulaner is called. The Insulaner is a rubble mountain, on which the William Foerster observatory stands.

The technology remains intact, but the copper roof and the Bestuhlung must be renewed. 1989 are built the library. 1991 can be taken the laser plant in enterprise. Starting from September 1995 also radio play cinemas are offered. Starting from October 1995 the Internet appearance of the WFS starts. On 22 October 1997 the William Foerster observatory is 50 years old. 2003 the Planetariumskuppel are reconditioned (the projector so long brought in) and the seats renewed.

In October 2005 the Planetarium at the Insulaner becomes 40 years old. The association celebrated this in the Planetarium with a long night of the stars and the premiere of a new lecture on Einstein.

The technical equipment

The dome is equipped with the Planetariumsprojektor, which is used for various meetings, which can be if necessary also brought in however.
