The JVA , colloquially Santa Fu mentioned, is a penal institution in Hamburg-Fuhlsbuettel.

It consists of the partial institutes Nesselstrasse and Suhrenkamp (1879 based, today house I) and the partial institute "“to hare mountains"” (1906, today house II). The name "“Santa Fu"” refers only to the partial institute "“to hare mountains"” and by the press into the 1970er years was probably applied, after several aligning were successful (headline: "“Santa Fu and raus are you! "”).

Under law senator Roger Kusch were summarized in June 2003 the three before times same-constant partial institutes under an institute leader into the JVA It is responsible for the closed man execution, preventive detention and pushing away detention.

There is a prisoner newspaper named focus.

Memorial place

The gate building of the penal establishment is now furnished as memorial place.
