Pc. James's park is one of the royal parks in London. It lies in the central Londoner urban district town center OF Westminster, in the proximity of the Buckingham Palace and the Downing Street. It is limited in the west by those the road The Mall, in the east by the Horse Guards Road and in the south by the Birdcage mills. In the park a long stretched lake is named pc. James's park Lake with the islands ducks Iceland and west Iceland.

The park forms the eastern end over four kilometers long, only becoming green tires in the city centre, interrupted by some roads: In the west is the Green park, afterwards the Hyde park and the Kensington Gardens follow.

South the park is the station pc. James's park London Underground, where courses of the Circle LINE and the District LINE hold

History

In the area of the today's park was once a swampy meadow. 1532 acquired king Henry VIII. the area, let it into a hunting ground with deer convert and at the northern edge the pc. James's Palace to establish. Under king Charles II. was made accessible the park of the public. 1837 transformed John Nash the park fundamentally; thus the today's lake developed from the earlier channel.
