Pasporta servo is a network of humans, who speak Esperanto and are ready to offer to other language friends a free overnight accomodation. The address listing is published from the world youth organization of the Esperantisten TEJO (= Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo) and updated annually: At present (edition 2005) 1364 hosts are registered in 89 countries in it.

Each Esperantist can use this service. In the address list the hosts inform about their conditions: for example, as many guests are welcome, how long it to remain to be allowed or whether they should announce their attendance in advance. The hosts do not require a rent, many offer beyond that also a breakfast or a dinner. Return visits are not presupposed.

Is expected by the guests to accept the conditions of the hosts (about "“nonsmokers"”, "“announce in time before"” - the rules stand mostly in the entry in the book in it) and hospitality not to abuse. Is important that the guest Esperanto speaks, since the motivation of the hosts lies above all in it, to use the language verbally.
