The parish church pc. Johannes Baptist is the catholic village church of Attenkirchen (Upper Bavaria). It visibly stands from far away on a small hill in the center of the village. The today's baroque building originates from the year 1762 and replaced a building of predecessors. The tower essay originates from that 19. Century.

The high altar is decorated by two painted wood figures. Both originate from that 15. Century. The one represents the church patron Johannes to the with the book in that rights, on which the lamb lies. The second figure shows the Apostel Johannes with a cup in that linking, which it segnet with that rights.
