The former palace Pettenkofer is a citizen palace in the eastern old part of town of land hat. It became at the beginning 17. Century in the screen lane, nearby which Martinskirche establishes. Probably was the scholar Eberhard Adolph of Muggenthal, to which the house belonged between 1626 and 1655, also the owner.

The palace is a stately, dreigeschossiger building. Its magnificent Rococo front received the building around 1770 under Johann William from Pettenkofer. Over the portal Pettenkofer let a coat of arms, which witnesses of its with the noble Kammerloher from Irnsing attach.

1870 changed the palace for the first time into civil possession. In the building the land hat developed.
