The Niklaskirche stands directly at the German-Czech border in the forest between Neualbenreuth and in the district Tirschenreuth.
The current building of the church was established 1899, after the chapel, which stood before here, made of wood, was burned down.
Still much in former times, before nearly 800 years, here already stood a church, which was the first place of worship in this area. Bought in the year 1442 the Propstei of the monastery forest-ate. The formerly existing village from which except the church nothing remained remaining, became extinct by devastations of the and by serious epidemics.
