The moorland course Burgsittensen is a Feldbahn, which developed from a former peat course.

It served from 1931 to at the end of 1999, when the last peat dismantling licenses in Tiste expired with Sittensen, for the removal of the peat, which was used among other things as fuel. Since the moorland course up to then already became a firm component of village history, the association moorland course Burgsittensen registered association was created, in order to receive this piece technology history of future generations. Today from the small narrow-gauge railway a tourism magnet became. Under experts guidance can be driven groups to an observation tower, an overview of peat bog biotope made possible. There are not moving ways by the moorland for nature protection reasons.
