The monument for Otto von Freising is a stone plastics on the cathedral mountain of freesings (Upper Bavaria). It reminds at the 22. Bishop von Freising (1138-1158), to who as one of the most important historical writers of the Middle Ages is considered.

The monument is an early work of the German sculptor Kaspar von Zumbusch. On 19 November 1857 in the center of the cathedral yard before the Freisinger cathedral in the place 1803 broken off Mohrenbrunnens were revealed.

It shows Otto in life-large representation with the attributes characterizing it: being located in the measuring garb with Mitra, the bishop staff under the left arm wedged, in that linking the holy writing, in that rights a pen, which refers to on its literary activity. Plastics stands on a stone base. At its face the inscription: OTTO OF FREESING BISHOP AND HISTORICAL WRITER.
