The Mindelburg is a landmark of the Bavarian city Mindelheim in the circle

History

The castle probably became in the 2. Half 12. Century on the George mountain builds. Around 1305 it was destroyed and developed 1370 under duke Friedrich of Teck again.

1467 took over the Mr. von Frundsberg the rule in the place and on the castle plant. Admits became the sex particularly by George von Frundsberg, who "„father the land farmhand "“, who was born here. As a field gentleman it pulled for emperors Maximilian I. and Karl V. into the fight.

From 1949 to 1950 the Mindelburg served as military hospital, and/or as injuring hospital. Since 1950 are rented Sachon it the publishing house W.

The Mindelburg carries today the appearance as after its re-establishment in the years 1650 to 1670.
