The mansion post office is a historical building of mansions in Hagen and lies central in station proximity in a small park with an old beech existence. The mansion was built for 1892 by the Wehringhauser buyer William Karl Johann Diederich post office (1852-1896) in the style following the Renaissance. It is one of the most beautiful historical buildings of mansions Hagens. This is a cubic, zweigeschossiger building of bricks with working integration and pan-covered hipped roof.

In the year 1927 the city Hagen acquired the mansion and uses these starting from 1932 as museum. Here mainly works long years of the painter Christian Rohlfs living in Hagen were issued. With beginning of the national socialism the museum in house of the art was renamed later and in Karl seriousness east house museum. After different uses for the 1950er years, for example as official place of the census or as educational facility, 1987 the building were placed under monument protection. After restoration work the mansion post office was handed over to 1998 into function as seat and seminar building of the people's highschool Hagen as local training further center.
