The complex lock Schleissheim in the municipality Oberschleissheim in the district Munich covers old persons the lock Schleissheim, the new lock Schleissheim and lock desire home in a large lock park, together one of the most important baroque plants of Germany. It was established of the Bavarian rulers as summer residence.
Duke William V. had acquired a Schwaige with a small chapel, which should serve him in its last Lebensjahren as place of the meditation and the prayer in Schleissheim 1597. There it had different farm buildings established beside the yard and from 1598 to 1600 in the neighbouring forests some chapels.

Old person the lock Schleissheim was established by Heinrich beautiful the older one from 1616 to 1623 for duke Maximilian I. in the style of the late Renaissance with extensive farm buildings. Peter Candid implemented numerous winding and cover paintings in the lock.

The new lock Schleissheim was built between 1701 and 1726 on behalf cure prince max of Emanuels after plans by Enrico Zuccalli.
