Lock Pilsach is a small surge tank in the municipality of the same name Pilsach, north of new market in the Oberpfalz.Es is on a small island in a Weiher, which is fed of the Pilsach, a small brook, the lock and place the name gave.

With the lock it will have probably originally concerned a medieval awake tower, which was removed later over an apartment tower to a box shaped building with hipped roof. The first owners of the so-called "“lower lock"” were of 14. Century to in 17. Century the Senfft of Pilsach. In the lock is a hidden area, from which it is to be assumed that Kaspar Hauser spent many years of its childhood without human contacts there. The owner of the lock was at this time baron Karl Ernst von Griessenbeck, an officer in royally Bavarian services.

Also today the lock is still in private property and accommodates an art gallery with emphasis glass.
