The Kreischberg (1,981 m) is a mountain in the Steiermark in Austria. It lies in the northeast part of the Gurktaler alps in the burr course of the (2,166 m). The mountain is particularly opened from the north (sank Georgen whether Murau, Stadl to the Mur) by numerous forest roads and moving ways.
Admits is it particularly for its winter sports area.
The skiing area Kreischberg is with Murau and in the year 2003 the FIS Snowboard WM delivered. The Kreischberg possesses the largest Halfpipe Europe and delivers regularly Snowboard Weltcuprennen. For the season 2004/05 is the Kreischberg as only skiing area of Austria venue of the FIS ski CROSS Worldcup. The Kreischberg possesses a car course, a four-he chair lift, two two-chair lifts of four Schlepplifte and a plate elevator.
