Jump BREAK (English about: Spring holidays) is one usually in, sometimes also two-week break of the study enterprise (term holidays) at the colleges and universities of the USA. For universities on the quarter system it comes to the end of the winter quarter and before beginning of the spring quarter; for such with the term system it is usually in the middle in the winter and/or spring term (that usually January until May runs). In this time students visit often warmer places of the USA, Mexico or the Karibik, in order extensively to celebrate (party). Often it comes with these celebrations to excessive consumption of alcohol and other drug abuse, sexual liberality, and public exhibition of nakedness (Exhibitionismus). Usually it concerns thereby undergraduate students; the older graduate students (and then primarily rather such from occupation-preparing faculties such as BWL) clearly more rarely use their holidays in this way.

Jump BREAK falls into the period of at the end of of February to in the middle of April; with most universities jumps BREAK falls into one of the March weeks. At the beginning of of Septembers already recruit special jump BREAK tour operators on the Campus (campus) for journeys in the coming jump BREAK.

The city away Lauderdale in Florida was once a notorious goal for jumps BREAK tourist.
