The Jakobuskirche of Marchaney in the locality of the same name in the district Tirschenreuth (Upper Palatinate) is an original building of churches. The place of worship standing under powerful lime trees was established by Philipp courage clay/tone. Splendourful baroque circular building, which was established after the model of the well-known Kappel with forest-eaten, developed around the year 1733. With the place of worship it acts around a four-church in such a way specified with low dome, whose sketch is similar heart. If one wanted to explain it more exactly, then one would have to actually say that the form of the cross served the sketch as collecting main, at which flat half elbows was then set. At the crossover, where along and transverse axis cut themselves, is the center of the church. Here the cover curves upward, which is to be seen from the outside then as "„lantern "“.

With a fire in the year 1915, at which the roof and the organ were destroyed, also the original pictures of the Tachauer of painter Elias Dollhopf the flames fell to the victim. Only 1946 were renewed the cover picture over the altar and 1957 was restored the Fresken of the dome and "„the lantern "“.

The church is because of one of the Jakob ways.
