In the year 1990 the German framework route brought into being is a holidays road and extends from the Elbe in the north up to the Bodensee in the south. It leads to cities and municipalities with remarkable framework constructions and is at present divided into nine stages, which affect the Lands of the Federal Republic Lower Saxony, Saxonia-Anhalt, Hessen, Thuringia, Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg. The entire route distance is more than 2000 km.

The German framework route is into the following, roughly in north south direction sorted, nine regional distances partitioned:

• From the Elbe to the Weser mountain country

Stade - Nienburg/Weser - bath meal - Stadthagen - Uslar - Northeim - installation-hit a corner - bath Gandersheim - Alfeld

• Of the Elbtalaue to the resin

Bleckede - Hitzacker - Dannenberg - - salt whisk - Celle - - Helmstedt - - - horn castle - Bockenem - Osterwieck - half - Wernigerode - Osterode - Duderstadt

• From the pure hard forest to the Waldecker country

Trendelburg - Hofgeismar - Grebenstein - Immenhausen - Zierenberg - Wolfhagen - Naumburg - basket oh - bath Wildungen

• From the Weser mountain country to the bird mountain

Hannoversch flowing - Eschwege - hessian Lichtenau - clip mountain - Melsungen - Fritzlar - Homberg (Efze) - Schwalmstadt - new churches - when field

Here the route divides into a western part of direction Black Forest and an eastern part of direction Bodensee

- West: from bath Urach after gentleman mountain - Calw - old person-continue to rise - Dornstetten - scold oh - Haslach

- East: of bath Urach further after Blaubeuren - Riedlingen - beaver oh at the tear - Pfullendorf - Meersburg
