The German alpine road is a holidays road, which leads almost exclusively by the Bavarian alps (Germany).

The landschaftlich very beautiful road leads in west east direction of the Bodensee into the Berchtesgadener country.

Process

From the Lindau which was because of the Bodensee the German alpine road under others runs past by upper baptism and at the large Alpsee after Immenstadt and then by a piece of the Illertals by Sonthofen and by the valley of the Ostrach after bath Hindelang. Subsequently, it runs by Bavarian cell over the Sudelfeldpass (1,123 m NN) to the Wasserfall Tatzelwurm. Afterwards it leads across the Tatzelwurmstrasse by Brannenburg and the Inn valley and A 93 crossing to nut village.

From now on the German alpine road runs by SAM hereditary suppl. after Frasdorf, Aschau, Bernau and grass sow. Subsequently, it crosses the valley of the Tiroler Achens with Marquartstein and leads it by and across the maser he passport (793 m NN) after ride in the Winkl. History

The German alpine road was bereist as the first by king Maximilian II. with horse and Kutsche. 1927 were born the road by an idea by medical advice Dr. Knorz to connect with the goal, the transverse valleys of the alps (east west direction) between Bodensee and by a firmly defined road course along the Bavarian alps.

The today's routing received the German alpine road into the 1930er year. It was completely again located here for example in RAM sow with Berchtesgaden. The highest line for the construction measures was to engineer Fritz Todt with Dr. -.
