The Freiburger hut is a alpine association hut of the section Freiburg of the German alpine association (DAV). It lies in the Lechquellengebirge to feet of the red wall (proximity of Arlbergpass) and raises for itself the requirement to be family friendly. The hut is a base for the bergsteigerische training by the DAV.

Historical

The Freiburger hut was extended 1912 built, 1975/77, since 1993 possesses it a Fotovoltaik plant.

Journey

Journey with public means of transport:

• over Bludenz after Dalaas. From there ascent to the hut (2 1/2 to 3 1/4h)
• over Bludenz with course to reaching and afterwards bus for Lech. With the pendulum bus in 30 min. of Lech on the Formarinalpe (1871m) and from there past at the Formarinsee in 45 min to the hut.

Ascent

• Normal way of Dalaas: Dalaas Bhf. (930 - Mason - Mostrin Alpe - relay - Freiburger hut, approx. 2.5 - 3,25h, 1,000 elevator meters roughens. Marking: red (in the winter the entrance of Dalaas is avalanche-endangered).
• alternatively of Dalaas: Dalaas Bhf. - Hintergand - Mostrin Alpe - Freiburger hut, 3 - 4h
• of Lech (also with wheel possible): Of Formarin Alpe/lake (1,871 over drive or rock paste in 30-45 min. to the Formarin lake starting from course over mautstrasse, from 9:30 to 15:30 clock only with moving bus (30Min) starting from Lech. Alternatively (without moving bus/car): Lech - course - Formarin Alpe to the Freiburger hut; approx. 4 1/2h.

• Of Braz (Masonweg): Braz (704 over mark ass - Mason Alpe - Gwurfjoch (2070 - to the Freiburger hut; 5-6h
• Of the Grosswalsertal: Different, partially long rise ways, e.g. of book soil over bath red well - Gaden Alpe - Madona Alpe - Klesenza Alpe to the Freiburger hut, 8,5h. Of Marul over Staffelfeder Alpe - upper Partnom Alpe - Garmil - lower Laguz Alpe - upper Laguz Alpe - long Furka to the Freiburger hut; 5,5h. Or over new fact Alpe - - Faludriga Alpe - long Furka to the Freiburger hut; 6,5h

Transitions

• To the hut by the Johanneswanne; 4,5h. (Mountain experience and mountain equipment essential, not in all weather possible, e.g. with new-fallen snow or still too much frozen old snow. Situation with the hut landlord inquire).
• To the Ravensburger hut: Stone sea - Gehrengrat - Spuller lake - Ravensburger hut; 4,5h. With uncertain conditions over the Alpe; 3,5 - 4h
• To the eating house: Masonweg - Hinterbirg - - Elsalpe - depth sea-saddle - eating house (1725 m); 5 1/2 - 6h
