The castle stable lies on a hill spur over the Adelzhausener local part Burgadelzhausen in the district Aichach Friedberg in Bavarian swabia. The medium sized barrier plant is interpreted because of their building method today as Hungary temporal (after 900 n.Chr.).
The castle place was probably already in the Bronzezeit settled (soil finds). Only about 150 meters far away lie the flattened remainders of a lateceltic square-dig in the forest.
For the history of the castle plant there are no documentary excessive quantities. Because of the impressive, about 6 to 8 m high barrier plants and the pre-aged, partly 4 to 5 m deep ditches the plant than earlymedieval Hungary protection castle is interpreted. Stony removals could not be proven, what is to be rated as the further indication for this classification. Also the size of the castle speaks against the interpretation as gentleman seat. The castle stable is however one of the smaller Hungary protection castles, in the further periphery is substantially larger castle barriers of this time position, for instance the waste dump castle with The barrier castle seems to have been given up to that after the defeat Hungary after the battle on the Lechfeld (955). Comparable smaller protection castles kept in the proximity when Haberskirch (Friedberg), Mering and barrier living.
The oval main castle is protected in the west by a fore-castle (approx. 50 x 150 m). The steep north side by a flat slope ditch or a Berme secured, eastward are pre-aged the main barrier a ditch and an edge barrier. Here the barrier system is kept to still about 15 m high. The earth barriers of the main and of the fore-castle were reinforced probably only by Palisaden, the deep ditches and steep barrier embankments offered nevertheless a good protection from the eastern Reiterkriegern. The barrier of the fore-castle is still approx. 4 to 5 m highly, here lies the ditch depths between 3 and 4 M. however is this Befestigungssytem today with close Unterholz existed and only with difficulty accessible. A barrier gap marks the entrance to the fore-castle, the main gate was appropriate for about 100 m of far in the south of the core castle.
The plateau of the main castle (approx. 70 x 90 m) is rotated all around by one - differently highly received - edge barrier, in the east possibly marks a rectangular pit the location of a building. The two ramps in the north are modern origin.
