The castle soil summerhouse is a castle ruin in the quarter rider meadows of the Bavarian cure city bath Kissingen. It was domicile Otto von Botenlauben and his Mrs. Beatrix (the founders monastery of the Frauenroth), who stayed from 1220 to 1242 on the castle. The exact developing year of the castle is unknown, it is however accepted that it developed around 1180. The name of the castle probably developed from the name "“Boto"” as well as the word "“summerhouse"” (the name for "“domicile"”). 1234 changed the castle under bishop Hermann I. from Lobdeburg into the possession of the high pin peppering castle. 1242 became the castle administrative seat of a hochstiftischen office, which was shifted after the farmer rebellion from 1525 to even living and 1670 were dissolved completely. After the depressed farmer rebellion the farmers were obligatorily consulted to again-establish the destroyed castle. In the year 1553 the castle in the so-called was destroyed finally and served since that 17. Century the inhabitants of rider meadows as quarry. In order 1830 found this condition however an end, when one began, again in romance and the Middle Ages to be interested (which found for example 1881 its expression, as which "“messenger summerhouse association"” were based). The special attention lay at first however to make from the castle a tourist attraction what itself however at the beginning 20. Century in favor of a historical interest changed. In the second half 20. Century took place on the castle restoration work. Nowadays the annually in September taking place castle celebration reminds of the life on the castle at present the Middle Ages.
