The castle forest-hit a corner (Upper Palatinate) is one of the oldest castles of the Upper Palatinate. The today's ruin is about ten kilometers east of Kemnath on 641 meters high basalt cone.
1124 were mentioned documentary for the first time it. It was in the possession of the land counts von Leuchtenberg, who the castle 1283 with parts of the surrounding rule forest-hit a corner to the duke Ludwig von Bayern sold. The remaining parts of the rule forest-hit a corner (among other things the castle white stone) sold the counts von Leuchtenberg at castle count Friedrich III. of Nuremberg.
Until 1698 the castle was seat of the land justiceship Waldeck Kemnath. Since a fire 1794 the castle is a ruin.
