The ruin of the small former water castle is because of the edge of the village Dippach in the district of hate mountains in Lower Franconia. Today still the surrounding walls and the gate tower are received.
The tiny castle originally belonged to the counts von Henneberg, then the Saxonian Wettinern. The rectangular surrounding walls (25 x 32 m) are kept still up to six meters high. An about 12 meter high, ton-curved gate tower granted the entrance. On the inside a rectangular entrance opening is over the passage, outside is cultivated the former school building. The rectangular openings interpreted in the inventory volume as Schiessscharten might have served rather the exposure.
