1773 gave it in Frankfurt/Main the first river public swimming pool, to 1777 in Mannheim. 1887 were opened in Vienna the first pure people shower bath without bath tubs.
The 1890 opened municipal swimming pool in Krefeld were at its time probably teurste and public swimming pool in completely Germany. It had shower baths, tub baths in three classes, two indoor swimming pools, a salon bath (emperor bath) and a Irish bath with steam and hot-air bath in wasteful equipment.
