The pictorial branch church pc. Johann Baptist and holy cross in Westerndorf with rose home is a baroque church with for the epoch an atypical circular sketch. The main area of an enormous Zwiebelkuppel is crowned.

The church was not built in the years 1668/69 under the line of the Schlierseer of building master George Zwerger at the place of the medieval, any longer restorable Westerndorfer place of worship "„holy for cross "“. Although it - possibly in resumption of an older Patroziniums - 1671 hl. Johannes was geweiht, the designation "„holy for cross "“until today held itself.
