The museum Berlin is the federal state museum for art nouveau, kind Deco and functionalism (1889-1939).

The several thousand objects comprehensive collection from arts and crafts, industrial design, plastics, painting and graphics by the citizen of Berlin collecting tank Karl H was developed. (1922-2000) into the 1960er years and Land Berlin in a donation conveyed. 1983 were opened the museum at its current location.

Porcelain, glass, ceramic(s) and metal work from the epoch of art nouveau and kind the Deco are partly shown here in special space ensembles. Furniture of Emile Louis Majorelle or Paul Iribe belongs likewise to the collection, like the modern customs glass of William car field.

Substantial works of the painters Karl Hagemeister, Hans Baluschek and Willy Jaeckel are to be seen here.

The museum is in the lock road 1a, in Charlottenburg, in one infantry barracks opposite the lock Charlottenburg.
