The BMW multistoried building (also BMW tower, officially BMW four-cylinder) is that head office and landmark of the automaker BMW in Munich.
It was built between 1968 and 1972 (punctually to the olympic one summer games 1972) and to 18. May 1973 inaugurated. It is 101 m highly. The building is to that extent interesting from its statics the fact that these cylinders do not stand on the soil but at inside the building a prominent central suspension tower hangs upward. The individual floors were built on the soil and pulled upward then. The tower has a diameter of 52.30 meters.
The building has altogether 22 projectiles, of it 2 basements and 18 office projectiles. The BMW multistoried building was with completion of Munich highest office building, however some years later by the 114m high Hypo multistoried building was exceeded.
