The citizen of Berlin bear is a bronze monument in the center strip of the motorway A 9. It was established 1962 on Munich cities, briefly behind the motorway entry Munich free man and shows on a stone base the representation citizens of Berlin of the coat of arms animal. Among them the inscription MUNICH BERLIN.

The monument was revealed on 6 June 1962 by several representatives of the public life in Berlin and Munich: Willy Brandt (governing mayor of Berlin), Hans yokes bird (mayor of Munich), Alfons Goppel (Bavarian Minister of the Interior), Otto brook (president citizens of Berlin of the Lower House) and Ernst Lemmer (Federal Minister for all-German questions).

The monument exposure was the official prelude to one friendship week Berlin in Munich.
