The city Apolda in Thuringia can look back on one over tradition of the bell pouring. Among other things the largest bell Cologne cathedral (the so-called cover Pitter) was poured here.

The bell museum, which serves also as city museum, was created 1952. It accommodates large and small bells from numerous centuries as well as explanations for history and production antique and modern bells.

In addition there is bells for trying out, among other things also a exercise bell play for Carilloneure.
