The beautiful fount chapel became of the family beautiful fount as if grave-put established.

Building history

The beautiful fount chapel is cultivated to the northern transverse house of the Roman Kiliansdoms, where it replaced an older chapel. Client was Johann Philipp Franz of beautiful fount. Maximilian of Welsch made the plans. At 1721 with the building one began. 1723 were revised the plans by Balthasar Neumann and finished 1724 the Robbau. At the modifications was also Johann Lukas involved of Hildebrandt. The consecration took place 1736. The beautiful fount chapel is considered as one of the most beautiful baroque space creations in Germany.

In the beautiful fount chapel Lothar Franz of beautiful fount became, the cure prince of Mainz and bishop von Bamberg (gest. 1729), Friedrich Carl von prince bishop von and Bamberg as well as realm vice-chancellor (gest. 1746), and the owner Johann Philipp Franz of beautiful fount, which had been selected 1719 to the bishop von (gest. 1724) bestattet.
