The Bavarian beer route runs outgoing from the city Ingolstadt so far by the districts Neuburg Schrobenhausen, Pfaffenhofen to the Ilm and Kelheim.

Topography

The Bavarian beer route leads to a large extent by the world largest coherent hop growing area Hallertau. In the west the road in the area of cultivation of asparagus Schrobenhausen runs.

Variants

On the basis of Ingolstadt (German purity requirement) the route leads new castle in different variants e.g. after Wolnzach (German hop museum), at the Danube (city lock) or Beilngries (brewery museum) to several breweries.

Further possible goals are among other things the monastery world castle at the Danube break-through and the health resort bath

Tourism

The Bavarian beer route can be explored both to foot, as well as with the bicycle or the passenger car. The appropriate ways and roads are proven.
