The barrier path is a routistic project, which was converted in the year 2005 in the Uckermark. That approx. 70 kilometers long barrier path can be bereist to foot or with the bicycle, leads past numerous historical places of the Uckermark and touches thereby different culture epochs.
The name sits down together from "barrier" related to castle barriers, the "path" is the way, which leads to the castle barrier.
The barrier path leads by the Uckerseen region (Oberuckersee and Unteruckersee), past at slawischen castle barriers.
The distance continues to lead from Warnitz (church, 1738 built) across the room mountain (blocking A CRATE GRAVe), after bright castle (Wallberg of a former Slawenburg), sea-living (former monastery location), Potzlow (market place, Roland figure and church), Strehlow (church ruin, Findling), (church), Sternhagen (church), the five-sea-view (Phallusstein), Fergitz (castle barrier island, in church, former Flieth (church ruin), Vossberg (hill grave on the pitch mountain), Suckow (ice cellar, hereditary graves of those of Arnim), Stegelitz (church) after Melzow (old Schmiede, building 1898 built and church with organ, 1859 built by William long and Ferdinand Dinse and 2004 restore).
In bright castle, a local part of the municipality Oberuckersee is the Wallberg of a former Slawenburg.
With Fergitz (west bank) and Warnitz (east bank) in the Oberuckersee is the castle barrier island, on which around 1100 a slawisch feudales castle and settlement center developed.
