The chapel is a Nebenkirche of the Pfarrkiche pc. George in freesings. It was established 1669 underneath the cathedral mountain at the confluence to that exterior MOO special and the Galgenbaches.

The baroque chapel originally consisted only of the octagonal choir area. 1673 were extended it by a hall area. In the center of the altar a copy of the black Madonna from the grace chapel is located in

After the fire of the neighbouring brother house in the year 1798 and the dissolution of the high pin freesing purged the chapel starting from 1804 appreciably. The fitter master Johann heart-gladly saved the altar figure into his house, where it remained nearly 40 years long. Only 1842 were renewed the chapel and geweiht on 14 August 1842 again solemnly.
